Imagine Elton John and George Winston having an intense jam,
and then Beethoven walks through the door
Welcome
I love to come alongside people so that their world is just a little bit better. This seems to be the common theme through my varied career over the past 30 years, and comes through strongly in the way I connect people with music as well as the way I approach recording projects. "Have piano, will travel"... There are so many beautiful places in South Australia, and I've spent a decade playing an upright piano outside on various street corners, cafe strips, in building foyers, on bridges, markets. I understand the importance of community and how music can bring people together, and make memories ... Most of these locations have been in Adelaide and Melbourne, but as they say "You can take a man out of the country, but you can't take the country out of a man" - I'm heading back to my love of country towns and regional areas. More and more I'll be playing throughout the regional areas of South Australia.
If you're organising an event in regional Australia, I'd be happy to talk about ways we could work together, to add value to your event. If you're in Adelaide, I've still got your back.
2023 UPDATE:
Here's a bit of news as to my current piano playing ... the last couple of years have been the most intense years of my life, and I've come to a point where I need to take a complete break from playing music in public. So thankyou to you for being my support crew, and being kind to me over the years - I have really enjoyed being a small part of your lives through the music that's happened. But now I need to take a bow and take a step down for a while (I've sort of been doing that mostly already, but now I'm officially letting it be known). At least for a year, that is until late 2024... or maybe even longer. 2024 will see me getting back the basics of what I want to do with music, and doing some reworking of how I actually play. After that I'll be back in some capacity, though I'm not sure how that is at the moment. So thankyou once again for all your support over the years, but farewell for now. If you ever feel like messaging I should respond, but this page won't have much going on. Peter
